Physics of the very forward detector region

In the last 10 years we have been involved in detector and physics R&D in the very forward region at ILC, and more recently at CLIC. Our activities include studies of the luminosity measurement, electron identification with the forward calorimeters, TB simulation and data analyses, and the most recently software integration into DD4hep. Several publications resulted over the years, as well as numerous contributions to the conferences. Also 2 PhD theses are dedicated to these topics. The research is supported through the AIDA2020 and E-JADE projects.
